Losing It in the Lot

AFIS BILLBOARD POSTERS ROAD RAGE DEFENSE BILLBOARD #138
Road rage generally refers to those over aggressive drivers out in traffic who can't keep their cool. Well I witness many a calm driver lose it in the lot.

I noticed this trend while parking my own vehicle in a mall lot. I observed two types of drivers: the ones that piss you off and the ones that don't.

Are you the type of driver that will hover round and round until you fine a spot close to the entrance? Are you the type of driver who parks in the first spot you see?

I'm not a shark that will hover around looking for a spot close to a door, but because other people like to spend more than fifteen minutes searching for a spot I get caught.

It never fails. I always get stuck behind someone who either wants to hover or wait on the lady packing all of her new won treasures into her trunk. I just love it when people think it's okay to park in the middle of the lot and block everyone from passing.

Womans hands on car steering wheelSlowly I find my anger wick burning and my precious hold on my temper begins to break. I end up slamming my palm on the horn. Yes, I turn into a madwoman who glares through the window while blaring her horn at the irritant in front of her vehicle.

Again, I park in the first spot I see in the mall lot because I don't mind walking; however, I cannot deal with nonsense in a parking lot. Either you park or you move. You don't wait hours behind the lady filling up her trunk because the odds are she is just putting bags in the trunk only to return to more shopping.

Now that the holiday season is upon us, I'm not sure if I can keep my cool. Losing it in the lot will only occur if parking idiocy becomes too much.

  1. It's especially irritating when these delays end up making you late for work...only to walk in and hear a customer say how much we need more help! Well...help would be there a whole lot quicker if you'd move your ass in the parking lot!
